I used to work in an old building and I found these old postcards in the building's attic.Many of the postcards were ruined because the roof leaked.
Anyway here's the RMS Republic, in the service of the White Star Line.
I have learned that the RMS Republic is one of the most sought after "Treasure Ships" of the 20th century as it sunk with a cargo of 1909 American newly minted $20.00 Eagle gold pieces as well as 50 bars of gold bullion.
I wonder though, what if this ships cargo were raised? Wouldn't that make the holders of the collectible coin nervous as the rarity of the piece would decrease along with its market value?
